This feeder is designed to feed the Blue Jays! The wreath holds approximately 1 lb of peanuts in the shell. (Peanuts sold separately).
The birds land in the centre, and pulls the peanuts out one by one from the wreath. You will often see the blue jays take a peanut and crack it open on a nearby fence post, or stash it away for later under a tree or shrub.
You can also use the wreath to hold nesting material for the birds in the spring, oranges and other fresh fruit for the butterflies and bees during the summer, or to hold candy or other goodies to give as a gift!
